Pier Luigi Ferrari born in Seville (Spain) from Italian parents, begin his artistic career in the jazz music area, playing in many groups among which: Paolino Della Porta, Attilio Zanchi, Riccardo Luppi, Massimo Colombo, Julius Farmer, Cristian Meyer, Mark Harris. He also collaborates as a guitar demonstrator for famous musical instrument factories like: Fender, Yamaha, Washburn, publishing didactic articles and transcriptions for musician's magazines: “Guitar Cub”, “Chitarre” also realizing several interviews. He realizes concert tours and CD recordings with the following artists as: Eugenio Finardi, Fabio Concato, Renato Zero, Faust'O, Pierangelo Bertoli, Marco Ferradini, Kaballa, Laura Fedele, Luca Jurman, Tony Melillo, Donatella Bardi, Federica Camba, Aida Cooper, Flavio Oreglio, Sergio Sgrilli, Peter Sheekey, Sandy Chambers, Lisa Hunt, Angie Brown. Since 2000 he deeply dedicates to the Argentine music and recorded his first cd "Tangueria" – pub. Compingo, He collaborated with director Daniel Pacitti in the realization of an Argentine version of the famous opera "Carmen" in 2002: and been playing both solo and in various groups, collaborating with : Carlo Montoli, Manuela Ravaglioli, Sergio Fabian Lavia, Franco Finocchiaro, Orlando Luciano and more recently with Annamaria Musajo (CD “Viva tango!” in 2004) With this singer he has realized during these last years many concerts and recitals (music and poetry with and the acting of Annig Raimondi., participating to several concerts : (in "Bluenote" in Milan with Annamaria Musajo and the Argentine bandoneonist Gerardo Agnese, in “Open Jazz Festival” important jazz summer review in Varese . Very important was his recent solo performing in Miguel Angel Zotto show (one of the best contemporary tango dancers). In 2007 he recorded in the CD of Argentine group Tango Tinto, in 2008 published the solo CD "Bassa Marea", dedicated to modern contamination of the tango and 2009 the CD Latinfive dedicated to latinjazz & Cuban music. In 2011 he performed the concert of Aranjuez with an ensemble of strings, and participated in the international festival of Menaggio with a guitar tribute to Django Reinhardt with Giovanni Monteforte . In 2012 he recorded in the studios of RSI in Lugano a CD dedicated to Italian Jazz of 30s and 40s and has participated in all the most important jazz festivals of Switzerland, has recently released a CD with tango singer Manuela Ravaglioli and accordionist Danilo Boggini.
